Steve Vai Covers Celluloid Heroes

I always loved Vai’s Version more than The Kink’s. Everybody’s a dreamer And everybody’s a star And everybody’s in movies It doesn’t matter who you are There are stars in every city In every house and on every street And if you walk down Hollywood Boulevard Their names are written in concrete Don’t step on Greta Garbo As you walk down the boulevard She looks so weak and fragile That’s why she tried to be so hard But they turned her into a princess And they sat her on a throne But she turned her back on stardom Because she wanted to be alone You can see all the stars as you walk down Hollywood Boulevard Some that you recognise, some that you’ve hardly even heard of People who worked and suffered and struggled for fame Some who succeeded and some who suffered in vain Rudolph Valentino Looks very much alive And he looks up ladies’ dresses As they sadly pass him by Avoid stepping on Bela Lugosi ‘Cause he’s liable to turn and bite But stand close by Bette Davis Because hers was such a lonely life If you covered him with garbage George Sanders would still have style And if you stamped on Mickey Rooney He would still turn ’round and smile But please don’t tread on dearest Marilyn ‘Cause she’s not very tough She should have been made of iron or steel But she was only made of flesh and blood You can see all the stars as you walk down Hollywood Boulevard Some that you recognise, some that you’ve hardly even heard of People who worked and suffered and struggled for fame Some who

The Beatles I Feel Fine (2009 Stereo Remaster)

Join the Official TheQuarrymen58 Facebook page for News, Photos and exclusive videos! www.facebook.com “I Feel Fine” is a riff-driven rock song written primarily by John Lennon and released in 1964 by The Beatles as the A-side of their eighth British single. The single reached the top of the UK charts on 12 December of that year, displacing The Rolling Stones’ “Little Red Rooster,” and remained there for five weeks. It also reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 in late 1964. The B-side was “She’s a Woman”. “I Feel Fine” was the first of six number one songs in a row on the American charts, a record at the time.[citation needed] The subsequent singles were “Eight Days a Week”, “Ticket to Ride”, “Help!”, “Yesterday”, and “We Can Work It Out”. The record was equaled by The Bee Gees in 1979 and surpassed by Whitney Houston in 1988. It was also the first Beatles single to be released almost concurrently in the US and the UK. ennon wrote the guitar riff while in the studio recording “Eight Days a Week”. “I wrote ‘I Feel Fine’ around that riff going on in the background,” he recalled. “I told them I’d write a song specially for the riff. So they said, ‘Yes. You go away and do that,’ knowing that we’d almost finished the album Beatles for Sale. Anyway, going into the studio one morning, I said to Ringo, ‘I’ve written this song but it’s lousy.’ But we tried it, complete with riff, and it sounded like an A side, so we decided to release it just like that.” George Harrison said

Jordan’s First College Game – N. Carolina vs. Kansas. 1981

November 28, 1981 This is how it all started. North Carolina vs. Kansas. The first ever college game of “Mike Jordan”. Jordan picked two quick fouls at the beginning, so he had to sit for some time in the first half. The replays were quite rare but I included all of them along with announcers’ comments on Jordan and a couple of James Worthy plays. Jordan scored 12 points on 5-10 shooting. For the most part, his shots were jumpers under Dean Smith’s famous four corners offense. He missed his first shot which was eerily similar to the game-winning shot in the 1982 NCAA Final game. He made his next three. The end of the game is especially interesting. Announcers were talking about Kansas fouling Jordan because of his inexperience and they did. Even though it was his first trip to the line in the game, he managed to sink both of them under pressure. Enjoy. Post game notes & quotes: ========================= “UNC tops Jayhawks in opener” by AJ Carr Raleigh News and Observer November 29, 1981 CHARLOTTE — When your picture is splashed on magazine covers, you’re ranked No. 1 in the polls and on everybody’s most-wanted lists, getting your game together can be difficult. But North Carolina pushed aside all the hoopla Saturday, went to the hoop and conquered stubborn, well-prepared Kansas, 74-67, in a season opener witnessed by 11666 Coliseum fans. The top-rated Tar Heels never had it easy, but they patiently pried open an eight-point spread midway through the second half, then

? 9 ? Natural Hairstyles: Protective & Pompadour Puff

? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? Read For Further Info ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? Hey Home Skillets! You guys have asked me for it, so here it is! These are the hairstyles I wore in my past two videos. I really hope this tutorial is easy to follow. Again if you have any questions, please feel free to ask me. :D ?TIPS? ? Style #1: Keep in mind, the bigger the scarf you use, the bigger your bun will turn out. ? Style #1: If you would like, you can also use an “ouchless” elastic goody band (rubber band) to secure your scarf before twisting and also another one to hold bun in place. ? Style #2: Instead of using Eco Styler Gel to hold down my sides and back of my hair, I used IC Gel because it has a softer hold and I don’t like the feel of crunchy sides (at least not with this style). ? Style #2: If a baby brush is not firm enough to brush down your sides, please use a brush that you like. Just be careful not to brush too hard. ? Style #2: I bought my elastic bands at the Dollar Tree. All three of those bands came in one pack for 99 cents. ? Style #2: You do not have to twist your hair prior to doing this style. But keep in mind that by twisting over night your hair will stretch allowing you to make a bigger puff…and the extra curls look cute too! ? Style #2: You may also rub on a layer of castor oil to the sides and back of your hair before applying styling gel. I like doing this to make sure the gel doesn’t dry out my hair too much. Well I

The Murder City Devils – Alcohol

Brought to you 73% louder! ALCOHOL Here’s a story about a sinner, He used to be a winner who enjoyed a life of prominence and position, But the pressures at the office and his socialite engagements, And his selfish wife’s fanatical ambition, It turned him to the booze, And he got mixed up with a floosie And she led him to a life of indecision. The floosie made him spend his dole She left him lying on Skid Row A drunken lag in some Salvation Army Mission. It’s such a shame. Oh demon alcohol, Sad memories I cannot recall, Who thought I would say, Damn it all and blow it all, Oh demon alcohol, Memories I cannot recall, Who thought I would fall a slave to demon alcohol. Sad memories I cannot recall, Who thought I would fall a slave to demon alcohol. Barley wine, pink gin, He’ll drink anything, Port, pernod or tequila, Rum, scotch, vodka on the rocks, As long as all his troubles disappeared. But he messed up his life, went and beat up his wife, And the floosie’s gone and found another sucker She’s gonna turn him on to drink She’s gonna lead him to the brink And when his money’s gone, She’ll leave him in the gutter, It’s such a shame. Oh demon alcohol, Sad memories I cannot recall, Who thought I would say, Damn it all and blow it all, Sad memories I cannot recall, Who thought I would fall, A slave to demon alcohol.
